MTV EMA 2022: Burna Boy wins Best African Act, full winners list

Nigerian musician Burna Boy has been crowned the MTV Europe Music Awards Best African act of the year 2022.

The Afrobeat star was announced winner of that category at a ceremony held before the main event which later took place on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Burna, was nominated alongside other top artistes such as Ayra Starr, Black Sherif, Musa Keys and Zuchu.

This is the second time the ‘African Giant’ is winning this category, as he also received the award in 2019 after an eventful year.
