Nigerians rally behind Chef Hilda Baci as she attempts to break Guinness World Record

A Nigerian Chef by the name Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

The 27-year-old Chef, took on the challenge on Thursday, May 11th, and has been cooking so far for 80 hours and counting.

Hilda is attempting to break the world record, which is  currently held by Lata Tondon (87 hours, 45 minutes), and will be cooking for four days straight, non-stop.

Hilda’s vision has attracted a lot of support from Nigerians, both home and abroad who are sending her prayers and love, both physically and virtually.

Scores of Nigerians in Lagos have turned up to Hilda’s kitchen to cheer her on and motivate her.

 

So far, Hilda has received massive support from some well-known faces both in politics and entertainment including Peter Obi, the Governor of Lagos State Sanwo-Olu, Burna Boy, Charles Okocha, Spyro, Eni Adeoluwa, amongst others.

Christian groups have also gathered outside her kitchen to pray for strength for Hilda as she cooks.
