Nikki Samonas painfully shares story of how her management stole from her for years

Ghanaian actress, Nikki Samonas has shared how her management absconded with years of her hard work.

According to Nikki, her management, which was a family member, stole money from her for so many years, and she only found out about it barely three years ago.

Sharing the painful story with Sika Osei on “Stripped”, Nikki shared that she noticed the anomaly in her accounts during Covid when everything was at a standstill.

“A couple of years back, I lost a huge sum of money, hundreds of thousands of dollars and over the course of my career, I wouldn’t even say the 14 years, I’ll probably say the last seven years, they’re (management) taking everything and I had no idea.

“About three years ago. Just recently in 2020 right after Covid. It was during covid that I decided to sit down and assess because management was family so I trusted hundred percent and they’d been with me for long,” she shared.

According to Nikki, it wasn’t the case of an over sight, but “pure theft” adding that “even the documents they handed to me were fake. It was that bad, I was too sad and it took the grace of God for my recovery, it was that bad.”

The award-winning actress and UNHCR ambassador shares that the said family member is nowhere to be found till date.

“Till today I don’t even know where he is. It wasn’t a one time theft, it was overtime…couple of investments I made were all fake,” she added.

A teary Nikki stated that the situation left her hurt and pained as years of her hardwork was nowhere to be accounted for.

“Your’e in your 30s, you know you’ve worked hard and you want to settle and there’s nothing….I had suicidal thoughts,” she tearfully narrated.

Nikki however, shared that DSTV saved her from going bankrupt as she was hit with many projects which brought in some cash.

“DSTV saved me in 2021,” she expressed while thanking the company.

Nikki added that failing to find the right management is one of her big regrets; but for her unscrupulous management, she would have been way comfortable than she is now.

“Management. I’ll say I would have been way better, higher, comfortable than I am now if I had changed management a couple of years before. It does happen, management can fuck you up. Management can make you and unmake you,” she sated.
