The late Nollywood legend, Amaechi Muonagor has been laid to rest, leaving a void in the hearts of his fans and the film industry.

The funeral, held on Friday, June 21, 2024, saw an outpouring of love and respect from family, friends, colleagues, and fans who gathered to bid farewell to the veteran actor.

Amaechi Muonagor, celebrated for his versatile roles in numerous Nollywood films, passed away on March 24, 2024, after a prolonged illness. His career, spanning over two decades, was marked by memorable performances in movies such as “The Lion Heart,” “Igodo,” and “The Billionaires Club.” Muonagor’s ability to bring depth and authenticity to his characters earned him widespread acclaim and a dedicated fan base.

Several Nollywood stars and highly rated dignitaries graced Amaechi’s funeral to celebrate his life and legacy.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, was among the guests, and his attendance garnered a lot of attention.

Obi paid a visit to the bereaved family, expressed his sympathies and reflected on the impact of Amaechi Muonagor’s craft.
