OLAG SHS wins the girls’ category in the 2023 Ashanti Regional Inter-School Cross Country Competition

Our Lady of Grace Senior High School (OLAG SHS), Mamponteng staged an impressive rally to win the girls’ category in the 2023 Ashanti Regional Inter-School Cross Country Competition on Saturday, April 22, 2023. The school garnered 25 points and 113 points to win the girls category and place 6th in the boys category, respectively.

Participating schools included 13 and 19 schools in both the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively, from the region.
Felicia Babulweri, Vida Asusiyinne, Sherifa Moro, Naomi Feisulip, and Diana Kuubetegr brought the honor home in the girls’ category as they had a swift run in the 4 kilometers long race. Their boys’ counterparts, Blessing Anokye, Elvis Boakye, Simon Alianga, Benjamin Boakye, David Konbong, and Thomas Agyekum, wrestled strength and speed with their competitors to place 6th in the 8-kilometer race.

Duly guided by Mr. Anselm Nyavadzie and his colleagues and teachers in the sports department, the school was recognized and applauded once again by sports coordinators, organizers for a fanatical performance on such a big stage.
