Old video surfaces: KODA narrates being given wrong medication for nearly eight months

Following the recent passing of Ghanaian Gospel Artiste KODA, social media has been stirred by reactions to an old video resurfacing.

In the video, KODA recounts a harrowing incident from around 2016, where he received medication that was not suitable for his condition from a hospital in Takoradi. Despite publicly disclosing his health status, KODA discovered he had been unknowingly taking sulphur-based medication for close to eight months, which he emphasised was harmful to his health as a G6PD patient.

Reflecting on the incident, KODA shared, “I noticed that one major element I was given to take was a sulphur-based medication and immediately I told myself that but I know that I have a medical condition called G6PD.” He said.

People have reacted to the video differently, with some suggesting an investigation be done on the hospital.
