<![CDATA[According to reports, organizers of the April 20, Sarkodie – Rapperholic Concert in Tamale, have been dragged to court for failing to pay some of the local artistes who performed at the show. Other artiste who supported Sarkodie included Obrafour, Efya, Sherifatu Gunu and Mohammed plus host of other home based artiste in Tamale. The organizers of the concert have been dragged to court by Tamale based Dream Time Records, which represents the artist S.K.Y aka De Tamale Boy. S.K.Y has been described by many people in the North as ‘the Sarkodie of Tamale’ because of his punch lines and his play on words. According to the CEO of the record label, DJ Ojah, “the matter has been taken to court because the organizers have refused to pay our artiste what is due him, we made frantic efforts to get the money and sometimes they don’t even pick our calls. It was later one of them sent me a text that an amount (which is far below the amount agreed on) have been enveloped and I should come to his place for it, we refused that money and took the matter to court for redress since they said we should do whatever we want to do, and that what they have is what they are offering”. The first hearing will be on Monday May 6, 2013 at the Tamale Circuit court.]]>
