The artwork for the track shows the artist in full Takoradi Christmas Masquerade regalia.

Thomas is an ode to his childhood in Takoradi, derived from this children’s nursery rhyme told about returnee sailors that came back to the port city of Takoradi from their various journeys with newly acquired and often ridiculed style and behavior.

“ My name is Thomas Pomopoy3yaw/ I come from Pompo Jamaica/ if you see my mother don’t call me Thomas Pompoy3yaw/ ”

Worldwide acclaimed producer whom the artist collaborated with on the global hit ‘Akwaaba’ provides the catchy house music-inspired rhythm for this very danceable tune.

The video celebrates the twin cities of Sekondi-Takoradi by capturing the rhythms in its every day life and vibrant urban youth culture. Mainly set in ‘European Town’ Sekondi,  It was directed by Tallal Sangari aka T. who was born and raised in Takoradi as well. It’s director of photography Kofi Nsiah aka Roaming Ambassador was also born in Sekondi and raised in Takoradi. Their collaboration added a very personal and sentimental touch to the video by capturing real elements of everyday life in Sekondi-Takoradi.
