Pay me back all the money I invested in your album before you sue people- Ayisha Modi to Obrafuor

Ghanaian Businesswoman, Ayisha Modi has reacted to Obrafuor’s suit against Drake for copyright infringement. https://youtu.be/eXkY-vVzgBs

Earlier today, court documents that has been shared online via the District Court of Southern District of New York, revealed that Obrafour is suing Drake for sampling his “Oye Ohene (Remix)” in his song “Calling My Name.”

Details of the suit suggest that Drake had sought permission to sample the song via email but the email was never responded to. He however, went ahead to release the track which was featured in an album days later.

Based on the success of the song which was on Drake’s highly published, “Honestly, Nevermind” album, Obrafour is asking for $10,000,000 as compensation.

Reacting to the suit via her Instagram, Ayisha Modi has reminded Obrafuor to pay back money she invested in his album 13 years ago.

“Concert party @mobrafour make sure you pay me back all the money I Ayisha Modi invested in ur Album 13 years ago before you sue someone wai,” she wrote on Instagram.

According to further allegations by Ayisha Modi, she supported the production of Obrafuor’s highly successful “Kasiebo” album, but never got any returns from the investment.

“Nature will catch up with u walaii Ofoui. See who is suing someone. I cursed u . You will not have no peace until u come out and tell the world the truth about how I invested in ur KASIEBO ALBUM,” she further alleged.

”@agyekumkofi was Ur manager at that time and he was the main reason why I invested all that money in ur project. U will be suing people saaaa to feed until you pay me back my money or you tell the world the truth. Karma and nature will catch up with ya,” she added.
