PBI launches “Farming For The Future: Unlocking Opportunities in Crop Farming and Aquaculture For SMEs and Start -ups”

The People Building Institute, a social enterprise that aims at promoting Africa’s growth by empowering and nurturing youths, upcoming business owners and executives to be skilled experts and ethical leaders, has launched a 4-day seminar dubbed ”Farming For The Future: Unlocking Opportunities In Crop Farming and Aquaculture For SMEs And Start -ups”.

The organization, which is dedicated to supporting the development of small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa, also envisages an expansion of its mentorship programs to reach more aspiring entrepreneurs, increase its partnerships, collaborations and develop new programs and services to meet the changing needs of the industry. It aims to do these with the deployment of special tools such as offering mentor-mentee programmes, practical workshops, and networking opportunities.

Speaking at the launch of the enterprise and a yet to be held seminar here in Accra and in Lesotho on Saturday, July 15, 2023, the Co-founder of the institute, Steve Dotse, disclosed that the enterprise, would be organizing a 4-day seminar targeting the agricultural sector on the theme: unlocking opportunities in crop farming and aquaculture for SME and Start-Ups at the Alisa Hotel from the 21st to the 24th of August 2023.
The Seminar, aims to bring together prominent leaders and experts in the field of agriculture and sustainability to explore innovative stategies and practices for creating a sustainable future in farming. The seminar will feature insightful keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions and intercative workshops focused on topics such as Precision farming, organic techniques, agro ecology amonsgt others.

Elinam Ablah, who is also a Co-Founder of PBI asserted in a media interview asserted ”We are thrilled to launch The People Building Institute and embark on this transformative journey with the youth. Our vision is to create a platform where young individuals can thrive, access mentorship, and acquire the necessary skills to build successful businesses and make a positive impact in their communities.”
