Influenced by a music loving father, Sandra got into music early, already taking lessons in piano as a child. Tina Turner, Nat King Cole, Diana Ross were some of the artists she listened to, as were the European masters Beethoven and Mozart. At six, she was writing her own songs. Her father would later get the family to sing on Ghana television, with the young Sandra performing ‘Unforgettable’ with her old man. At the Accra Girls High School, she took to stage on occasion. At the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, she juggled her studies and music, performing weekly. She graduated with a degree in Industrial Arts. Her journey in music continued at the Accra Girls High School where she took the stage sometimes during Entertainment. However, her performances were few and far between because she was a non resident student. In her final year of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology she juggled her studies and music. Jazz lovers never missed her weekly live performances with the Live Band. She also composed a song called ‘We Are One’ for the 2005 United Nations Peace Day ceremony which was held on the University campus. She graduated from University in 2008 with a degree in industrial arts.
