Ghanaian spoken word artiste/poet/lyricist , Mutombo became the first ‘victim’ of Vodafone’s exciting new campaign when a group of placard bearing mob besieged his house as early as 6am to persuade Mutombo to get himself a BlackBerry phone. With Placards that had a picture of Mutombo with the inscription ‘Mutombo get a BlackBerry from Vodafone, life is for connecting’, the mob also chanted – ‘Mutombo get a BlackBerry from Vodafone!’
As if that was not enough, the mob followed Mutombo to his studio at Dzorwulu with the placards, around 10 am and again caught up with him around 1pm when he was he was having lunch with his friends. So was the pestering enough for the poet to want to get himself a BlackBerry Phone from Vodafone? And who will be the next target? Stay tuned!
