Ghanaian comedian and actor Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has once again found himself in the spotlight after a recent relapse in his ongoing battle with mental health issues.

International host Michael Nichols talks about his career journey, global tours and more

Over the past week, he has released several videos making bold accusations against his colleagues, publicly insulting Venessa, mother of his three children, and engaging in concerning behavior like smoking amongst others.

These incidents have sparked mixed reactions among Ghanaians, with some condemning his actions as intentional, while others are urging his family and close friends to intervene and seek help for him.

Amidst the turmoil, UK-based Ghanaian artiste, Reggie Zippy has taken to his Facebook page to share a heartfelt and supportive message for Funny Face. In his post, Reggie chose to focus on the positive side of the comedian, remembering him as Ghana’s legendary comedian who has brought laughter to many.

Reggie referred to the embattled thespian as the real “G.O.A.T.” (Greatest of All Time), humorously clarifying that he didn’t mean “Aboa Apapo” (literal goat). Along with his message, Reggie shared a video of Funny Face performing on stage at a program, showcasing his immense talent and contribution to comedy in Ghana.

The crooner further expressed faith that Jehovah God would restore everything Funny Face has lost, including his peace, happiness, and career success. He emphasized that Funny Face is blessed and loved by millions across the world, and he remains confident in his friend’s ability to overcome these challenges.
