Shatta Wale rallies behind Afua Aduonum’s Guinness World Record attempt

Award-winning Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, has thrown his support behind Afua Asantewaa O Aduonum, the Ghanaian Journalist who is set to attempt to break a Guinness world record for the longest singing marathon by an individual this December.

Ms Aduonum sent in her application for the attempt and has been approved by the Guinness World Record board. She is expected to sing for over 117hours or more in order to break the current record at 105 hours and was achieved by Sunil Waghmare (India) in Nagpur, India, from 3 to 7 March 2012.

The news of her attempt has been well received by Ghanaians and Shatta Wale is the first of a few celebrities to openly throw their support behind her.

In a Facebook post, the “On God” hitmaker wrote;

“I wish I will be there to support this lady. You can do it !!! Let’s goooo🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 I don’t know you from anywhere but I want to support and boost your confidence and also let you know you are winning hands down. Cheers 🍻.”

The Singathon by Miss Aduonum is set to come off on the 24th of December and will end on the  27th of December.

The event will take place at the Aviation Social Center.
