From the 15-18th July 2021, the social youth impact organisation Youngtrepreneurs geared up for a career lifting opportunity through their music producers workshop powered by Code Management Group. Youngtrepreneurs, is a social youth-impact organisation geared towards creative opportunities for African creatives to be seen, heard and compensated for the long term through their various creative vocational led workshops.

The workshop was designed to increase the visibility of producers in the African music industry and also had the financial support of Audiomack Africa facilitating the four-day event. Splice who are also on a mission to invest in music producers in Africa sponsored the workshop participants with three months’ free subscription and a one-year free subscription to the winner of the Youngtrepreneurs music producers workshop.

The event featured guest instructors such as Mix Master Garzy, Kuvie, Mandy Aubry from Songtrust, Fabian Thorpe from Code Management Group and Nigerian entertainment lawyer Tope Salami. On the last day of the event producers had one hour during the workshop to create a 60 second instrumental to present to Grammy-nominated artist Shatta Wale. The selected Producer Kid 90 also known as Nana Ebow Attah instrumental was adjudicated by a panel of experts and personally chosen by Shatta Wale himself to win the chance to work with Shatta for the producers next single. In addition, Code Management Group will be sponsoring the prize package which will include a world-class produced music video, along with a robust PR & marketing rollout campaign.

It was a very exciting experience and I’m glad to have our partners like Splice, Songtrust, Femme Africa, Muse Africa, Pan African TV & Whitestone Solicitors and consultancy to make the experience even more worthwhile and special. Shatta was so inspiring, motivating and full of a lot of zeal. I look forward to the next steps.’ Says Founder, Scilla Owusu
