Soko Stingo (Swahili for style market), a lifestyle market featuring brands from across West Africa is set to hit Accra this Sunday, October 9 at the Twist, Labone. The fashion exhibition will start from 12 noon creating an avenue to showcase as well as purchase original items from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierria Leone and the rest of Africa at affordable prices.

The event will also serve as a platform for networking and trade exchange with the aim of  fostering a direct relationship between the brands and buyers from across Africa, thereby ensuring creative exchange and improvement in fashion trade between these countries, traders and consumers. All the proceeds from Soko Stingo go to a selected charity as part of an initiative to promote African creativity at no cost.

The inaugural edition of the show will be held and Ghana but the organizers intend for it to hold quarterly and interchangeably between Accra, Lagos, Dakar, Freetown, and Abidjan and indeed across Africa.

Confirmed vendors from Ghana and across West Africa include The Charlatans by iamISIGO, Orange Couture, Grey, Alali, JIL Boutique, AH Dookey, Fatima, Zali, Sleek, Cool Beans, Wana Sambo, Design for Love, Literati, TT Dalk, Mina Evans, Sons of Elizabeth and others.
