Vybz Kartel, along with three co-defendants, has been incarcerated in a Jamaican prison since their arrests in 2011 and subsequent conviction in 2014 for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams, whose remains have never been located.

The conviction was primarily based on circumstantial evidence, including video footage and phone records from his BlackBerry Torch, as well as testimony from a witness whose credibility has been called into question.

Recently, the Jamaica Court of Appeal mandated the release of Vybz Kartel and his three co-defendants after the renowned dancehall artist endured several years of imprisonment.
