The legal counsel representing Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win, has refuted any allegations of wrongdoing on behalf of her client in relation to the unfortunate accident that led to the loss of a three-year-old boy’s life on May 25, 2024.

Margaret Mary Adjei Twum, the attorney for Lil Win, stressed the significant impact the incident has had on the actor, as well as the promotion of his recent movie, “A Country Called Ghana.”

After the court session on Monday, July 28, 2024, Adjei Twum spoke to the press, assuring that their legal team is fully prepared to defend Lil Win’s innocence in court.

“We will defend because we are standing on his innocence. We still believe in his innocence until proven otherwise. We will still pursue our posture and the theory of our case will change when we have the reports from the Attorney General,” she said.

On June 3, the Asokore Mampong District Court granted Lil Win bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties, subsequent to his arrest by officers from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Manhyia Divisional Command.

Lil Win was apprehended shortly after being discharged from the hospital, where he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the accident. He is facing charges of dangerous driving and negligently causing harm, which led to the tragic death of the three-year-old boy.

While the family of the deceased seeks justice, Lil Win’s lawyer, Margaret Mary Adjei Twum, expressed optimism that the legal process will provide some solace and resolution to the mourning family.
