Voice Factory winner, Melody steps out as Awo-Yo with new single, ‘Embers of Me’

The winner of the 2010 edition of Citi FMs’ Voice Factory, Meda Melody  Wilson has been officially outdoored to the public as Awo-Yo at an exposure party at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra, were the talented singer also unveiled her latest single, ‘Embers of Me’. The R&B inspired message song flaunts the signature of Jayso’s quality production and will surely be loved by fans of Awo-Yo who have been waiting to hear from the singer in a while. According to her, “‘Embers of Me’ is about how mankind wants to be remembered when one passes on. In the life of a man, much is done to bring peace , comfort and fulfillment to others. This burning wood which gave warmth to the cold cannot be easily forgotten as the ashes is carried in air. At the end of life the creator must be pleased and say well done.” Awo-yo is currently working on her debut album and is slated to release a number of singles. She is a French major at the University of Ghana, Legon . The event also saw spoken word performances, fashion exhibition and music from the likes of Boy Pee and the Preachers. ]]>
