After a glorious first season of captivating Ghanaian viewers, the hit TV game show, ‘Who Wants to Be Rich’ will start showing new episodes from the second season this Sunday,  February 20 on the usual carriers, GTV, Metro and Multi TV.

GET TV Productions and Ultima Studios, producers of the TV game show have promised participants and viewers a fun new season with lots of suspense, disappointments, jubilations and bigger rewards. ‘Who Wants to Be Rich’ is the Ghanaian version of the global ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ TV game show.  It follows the internationally acclaimed format but has Gh¢50,000 as the ultimate prize winnable. The show is open to Ghanaians above age 18, who think they have what it takes to answer questions spanning from science, geography, entertainment, politics and other Ghana-centric questions. Interested participants have to send their names and locations to MTN short code 1770 for a chance to appear on the show.

The first season saw ordinary Ghanaians win thousands of cedis for participating in the intellectual and fun challenge. There were also special celebrity episodes for charity as well as special themes for couples among others. This season, the fun and surprises will continue both in the studios and at home as both viewers and studio guest stand to win amazing prizes.

Get TV productions has hinted that there would be special series every now and then for children, celebrities and others this season. ‘Who Wants to Be Rich’ is hosted by Ghanaian broadcaster/ presenter Kafui Dey and is sponsored by MTN, Aero and EcoBank.
