Since their landmark victory against Holland in the World Cup finals, the European Champions have lost and drawn once and won three times. Fernando Torres seem to have found his scoring boots again while Davivd Villa and Fernando Llorente are slowly but surely ascending La Liga’s scoring charts.
Portugal’s form after their World Cup exit has been patchy, to say the least, drawing 4-4 to lowly Cyprus and sustaining a defeat to Norway in the Euro 2012 qualifiers. Victories over Norway and Iceland have, however, got their Euro qualifying campaigner back on track.
Christiano Ronaldo’s sizzling form and Nani’s electrifying pace should be a major worry for the duo of Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique in the Spanish defence.

The 1998 World Cup winner has gone about restoring French pride, righting Domench’s wrongs and rebuilding the national team with an influx of young players.
A win against the Three Lions will get the French nation once again believing in their team and an important step forward in Blanc’s rebuilding process. England are facing a crisis with the lack of young talent coming through the development ranks. Fabio Capello has resorted to calling up ageing strikers like Kevin Davies, who at 33 recently made his international debut against Montenegro. The call up of 28-year-old Jay Bothroyd from Championship outfit Cardiff City is also testament of the crisis Capello finds himself in.
