Wrestling star John Cena announces retirement from WWE

John Cena, the renowned US wrestling star, has declared his retirement from participating in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events

Cena, who is 47 years old, made this announcement during the Money In The Bank event held in Toronto, Canada. He revealed that his final appearances will take place at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, scheduled for 2025.

 John Cena expressed gratitude towards his fans for their unwavering support throughout his career, acknowledging both the moments of “incredible prosperity” and “tremendous hardship” he has experienced in his over two-decade-long journey in WWE. 
 
The audience responded with cheers and chants of “Thank you Cena”, to which he humbly expressed his appreciation. Cena concluded his speech by encouraging other WWE superstars to step up and face him, emphasizing that the time for his departure is imminent. 
 
Since joining WWE in 2001, Cena has achieved significant success, becoming a 16-time world champion and earning a place among the greatest professional wrestlers in the history of WWE.
