Yahweh City Church, an evangelical in doctrine and practice, emphasising love for their neighbour, their community and God’s people, held its third edition of Hope for Children Christmas Party on Tuesday 28thDecember, 2021, at the Brofoyedru Government School Park in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.

The Hope for Children Christmas Gift Party is an annual end-of-year community Christmas Gift Party for vulnerable, orphans and disadvantaged children in the district, aimed at providing tangible decent Christmas gifts and in-kind items for them.

The gesture is part of the Church’s giant commitment and strategic engagement Yahweh City Church and UK-based Asantoa Foundation, to giving back to society and helping the needy.

About 500 children at the party grounds were treated to good food and drinks as well as other Christmas gifts.

The objective of the program is to enable less privileged children and orphans share in the joy and blessing of Christmas by giving them tangible Christmas gifts. It has been a difficult year, and in many homes, food may not be plentiful for these precious children.

In his remark, the founder of Yahweh City Church, Reverend George Osei Kofi highlighted that the party was in line with the spirit of Christmas, which is about giving and showing love, especially to the less privileged calling for continuous support from concerned people.

Also speaking, the founder of UK-based Asantoa Foundation, Rev. Dr. Marcia Elaine Neveu, said it takes those with Godly hearts to extend love to the less privileged, hence the rationale the Foundation keeps extending the hands of charity to the vulnerable.

On his part, Pastor Emmanuel Kwaku Boateng, the organiser of the Christmas party said the gesture was to show love and encouragement to the children, who according to him, Christianity is all about showing love and care to one another.
