‘Your partner is not your enemy’ – Ohemaa Mercy’s advice for women going through divorce

During an interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy offered advice to women going through divorce, encouraging them to depend on God rather than their partners.

Reflecting on her own experience, she emphasized that her strength came from relying on the Lord for guidance, stating, “My dependency was on the Lord.” She urged women to remember that their partners are not their enemies, especially when children are involved, as they still share a covenant as parents.

Ohemaa Mercy also highlighted the importance of maintaining a cooperative relationship with ex-partners for the well-being of their children. She advised women to focus on their faith and trust in God’s direction during such challenging times. “Because of the kids, you have a covenant,” she reminded, encouraging them to find peace and strength through their faith.
