Yul Edochie holds first online service; narrates how God called him

Yul Edochie, the renowned Nigerian actor who recently launched his online ministry, has conducted an inaugural church service on his YouTube channel, True Salvation Ministry.

The actor, during the session shared the profound story of his divine calling, detailing the spiritual journey that led him to embrace the calling to become a pastor. According to him, the divine calling came as a result of a near-death experience. Yul Edochie narrated how he miraculously survived a car accident, an incident that he believes was a divine intervention. Convinced of God’s purpose for his life, he decided to answer the call to serve as a pastor, marking the beginning of a spiritual journey.

Despite initially aiming for a physical church with a sizable congregation, Yul disclosed that God intervened, guiding him to start humbly and utilise the resources at his disposal.

“As far back as 2012, 2013, I’ll meet a couple of men of God, pastors and they will always tell me that you are destined to be a minister of God, you can’t run away from it, you are going to be a minister.

“As time went by I started to hear the voice myself like anywhere I am, most of the time when I’m in an enclosed place, just me, I’ll be hearing that voice telling me you are going to work for God,” he said.

During the virtual gathering held on Sunday, January 29, 2024, the actor who doubles as a movie producer and director also preached about the need for people to love “ourselves and shun hatred”.

Yul said he will always tell the truth even if it hurts him or his listeners, adding that “only God knows why he chose me”.
