Zakiya Ahmed becomes first Muslimah to win Miss Malaika

The Emerald Queen of Miss Malaika 2022 has been chosen following 13 weeks of friendly competition. On Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Grand Arena, the first-ever Muslim (Hijab) delegate, Zakiya Ahmed, gave a graceful victory speech. It was a night of joy, color, and style. Zakiya Ahmed becomes the first Muslimah to win Miss Malaika in the 20-year history of the pageant.

Yayra and Becky placed first and second, respectively.

Discovering abilities, enhancing attractiveness, grooming women, and giving back to society for 20 years.

All previous Queens and delegates graced the event in celebration and cake cutting of the journey thus far of the pageant, its accomplishments, and contributions generally. It was a joyous finale to this edition of Miss Malaika, the emerald season.

Ten stunning women competed, showcasing their skills and intelligence in front of an enthusiastic crowd and knowledgeable judges. Ama Sarpong, the winner of the 2010 competition, was followed by Naa Oyoe Quartey, winner of the 2013 competition, and well-known fashion designer and radio broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko.

The stage came alive with exhilarating performances by “Friday Night” hitmaker Lasmid, Vodafone Ghana Music Artist of the year KiDi, vocal prodigy Adina, and Kelvyn on a night of electrified fans.

Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku and Joyce Mamle Ayeh, two well-known OAPs, were the ship’s captains as it set out on its tour.

The most renowned, well-known, and widely-publicized beauty pageant in Ghana today was founded in 2002 and is called Miss Malaika Ghana.

The Charterhouse-run pageant has produced a large number of well-groomed queens in a variety of fields, including health, technology, banking, oil, construction, agriculture, broadcasting, and tourism.

It has been a voyage filled with splendor, glamour, bravery, values, and entertainment.
