Close down the schools- Reggie Rockstone to the gov’t

Published

on

Hip-life “Grandpapa,” Reggie Rockstone has asked the government to close down the schools.

This comes after 55 girls from Accra Senior High school tested positive for covid-19.

His excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo ordered final years and second years on the gold track system in the Senior High School and final years in  Junior High to return to school for their final exams.

Although some of the schools have recorded cases of covid-19, there is still no intention of the government to close down the schools.

Reacting to this in the studios of Hitz FM during an interview, the “Waakye seller” stated;

“Why? Because of education? But if you die, the education is over. That’s a no brainer. I don’t need to be in no politics to know that. They should close the schools.”

Mr’s Rockstone who was in the studio with him during the interview also shared her thoughts on the matter saying;

“Education is infinite, education is not age bound. One year out of school, two years out will not kill us. However, corona will kill us and once they remain in that space, transmission is high. Spread is high. It’s time to take a stance and make a decision that life is better than the education you’re fighting for. What’s the point of being educated and you dying along the way,” she added.
