Photos from ‘Adams Apples’ season 2 premiere + My quick review

Published

on

IMG_5666After a successful first season as a 10-chapter movie series, ‘Adam’s Apple’ returns on the screens as a TV series in season 2. The Valentine’s Day premiere was attended by cast and crew including Joselyn Dumas, Naa Ashorkor, John Dumelo, Anima Misa, Adjetey Annang and others.

In the new season of Adams Apples, viewers get to meet the feisty Adams girls one year later; on the bright note of forgiveness, renewed vows and honey mooning in London. But an unsuspecting kidnapping and a ransom note for ten million cedis throws the family into instant chaos and starts them on what will become the most ferocious chapters of their lives yet.

The new season will continue as a series on DStv and start showing on local TV also.  Details on the TV showings are yet to be communicated.  The premiere which was hosted by Deborah Vanessa was also attended by the likes of Nana Ama McBrown, who was making her first public appearance after a recent almost-fatal car accident, and Majid Michel.

Quick review:

As I have always stated, I don’t like to review Adams Apple because it isn’t a typical movie that you can watch within two hours and analyze. But I must say that I’m glad it is turning into a TV series because I believe that was what it should have been right from the beginning. Apart from the slow pace at which the story develops and the ubiquitous product placements, I think the opening Chapter/Episode should be edited to take some scenes out for the sake of logic. For instance, seeing Christmas wreaths during Valentine’s Day is not pardonable. Laugh out Loud!!!
