Darey Art Alade and Kim Kardashian (1)Some of Nigeria’s finest celebrities from every sphere of entertainment, including 2face Idibia, Tiwa Savage, Banky W, Ice Prince and many others on Sunday February 17, converged at the highly anticipated Love Like A Movie Concert which held at the Convention Center of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

 

The Valentine concert, the first of its kind in Nigeria, was an amazing show of creativity and panache as some of Nigeria’s greatest entertainers came on stage with the sole purpose of sweetly serenading the enthusiastic crowd.

 

The concert proved to be an exciting mix of acrobatics, dance and drama with celebs glittering like a thousand stars on the endless red carpet.

Special guest, US reality tv star, Kim Kardashian, couldn’t hide her excitement as she stepped into the venue, “I’m so excited to see how its going to go down tonight!” she exclaimed.

 

Singer/song writer, Tiwa Savage, was enthusiastic in her appreciation of Darey’s immense talent and creativity. “Darey, thank you so much for doing this, she said, Darey is someone I look up to; he’s my brother and mentor”.

 

Alterative soul singer, Bez noted that Darey is an amazingly versaltile artiste, while Dr Sid says he respects and admires Darey’s ability to constantly push the boundaries. Others who generously showered encomiums on the R&B star include, Eku Edewor, Sound Sultan, Eldee, Seyi Shay, Niyola and many more.

Some of the highlights of the event was the special guest appearance of US reality star and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian as well as the fascinating performances of world famous circus troupe, Farfadais and Nigerian dance icon, Kaffy’s Dance Imagneto

 

Speaking at the event, an enthusiastic Darey expressed appreciation for the huge turn out at the event. “Its amazing thing to do what you love but even more amazing and humbling to know that what you love also brings love to other people.”

The love themed event incidentally coincided with the artistes’ sixth wedding anniversary.

“We spent a long time planning and organizing this concert and I’m especially appreciative of those who have come here to share the magic of love as well as all those who worked so hard together to make this concert a reality.”

 

“Yes, we’ve got even greater plans in store for our fans. What can they expect? Always the unexpected!”
