‘I am taking control of my life’ – MzVee shares inspiration behind new song, ‘Destiny’

Ghanaian singer, Afro-pop and R&B singer, MzVee has shared the inspiration behind her latest release, “Destiny.”

In a recent interview on TV3’s ‘NewDay’, the “I Don’t Know” singer revealed that “Destiny” sums up her journey in life so far, adding that her journey has taught her so many things, but most importantly to have control over her life and everything around her.

“I’m taking control of my life and I am the one in charge of it. Nobody else can move my life in any other way. Just me, just God”, she said.

According to MzVee, her new song ‘Destiny’ was inspired by everything she has gone through in life, adding that she is grateful she learnt how to move at her own pace, mastering growth and ability to overcome mental challenges.

“This song is inspired by everything my life is saying today, like I have just been moving at my own pace and in my own time, yes destiny has to do with just me as a person as my journey so far.

She continued; The best thing about my journey has just been the growth, I started from a very low point in my life, very timid, very shy, not confident at all, I was not very okay mentally and in my heart but just going through life and music, people I have met on the has just brought me to a very beautiful point.”
