Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation Kelvyn Brown, otherwise known as Kelvynboy has recently opened up about prioritizing his personal life over past controversies that have often made headlines.

 

In a candid interview with YFM’s Kojo Manuel on the Dryve of Your Lyfe show, the artist behind the hit song “Down flat” expressed that he is more interested in real-life issues that impact him and his family.

“I don’t wake up to think about my past controversies,” Kelvyn Boy stated, emphasizing the importance of his current responsibilities.

”As a father of three and someone managing a building project, he noted, “I have a lot of things to think about. I came from a low background.”

The award-winning musician went on to  share his aspirations for his children, expressing a dream that they excel in music, given his own experience in the industry.

“If I start singing and end up hitting a wrong note, it disturbs me mentally,” he revealed, highlighting his passion for music. He believes that musical talent should come naturally to his children. “I always say, if my children grow up to be good singers, they’ve fulfilled my dream. They don’t need to be famous, but they should master music—becoming great singers, either like me or even better.”

Kelvynboy’s reflections illustrate a profound commitment to family and personal growth, as he continues to navigate his career in the music industry.
