One of Ghana’s leading contemporary gospel musicians, Minister Danny Nettey, will with the help of fans and gospel music lovers notch a distinguished accolade for his highly anointed ministry and the nation should he pick up the ‘Best Non-UK Artist’ at this year’s Africa Gospel Music Awards.

The awards ceremony seeks to largely celebrate the works of African gospel music ministers leaving abroad particularly the UK while putting up an Afro-gospel and fusions praise and worship concert. The awards ceremony has been scheduled for Saturday, 10th July, 2010 but importantly voting ends on the midnight of this Sunday, 20th June, 2010.

All that is needed for fans and well wishers of Minister Danny Nettey is to visit the awards website, www.africagospelawards.com, choose the ‘‘Best Non-UK Artist’ category and vote for Danny Nettey marking the simple process. Another Ghanaian nominated for other categories is Minister Sonnie Badu who has arguably been Africa’s biggest gospel musician in the Diaspora in recent years having a wide-travelling music ministry. Artistes scheduled to minister during the event to be held at the Zanzibar Banqueting Suite in the England include Uche Agu, Diana Hamilton, Sonnie Badu, Dayo and Andrew Bello, Rebecca Arthur, among others.

According to Pastor Joseph Gyebi, a friend and partner of Danny’s music ministry, this is a time for all to show their support for the man who has influenced Ghanaian gospel music incredibly with a passionate ministry to revive and encourage a lifestyle of individual praise and worship of God among believers while reaching out to the unsaved all over the world.

“Danny has been in the background for all these years pushing a vision of gospel music to impact lives and encouraging many young and upcoming gospel musicians to pursue a ministry essence with quality and inspirational gospel music. I think this time is an opportunity for all those who in one way or the other have been blessed by Danny’s selfless ministry and ever inspirational and timely messages in his music, which by the way is not only produced with top-notch quality but also highly anointed, to visit www.africagospelwards.com and vote for him.”
