Mr Ahmad Umar Barmo, also known by his stage name Amadhu, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter who was born on the 16th of September 2001.
A product of mixed cultural background, Ahmadu is half-Hausa, precisely from Zamfara state, and half-Yoruba, precisely from Ogun State, and he became professionally interested in music in 2017, though he grew up listening to the likes of 2face, Psquare, Wizkid, Eminem, Justin Bieber, and more.
He believes his mixed cultural background plays a crucial role in the music he writes and plays. He considers himself an ‘Afrobreeder’, having labeled his music style ‘Afrobreed’, a self-styled sub-genre of Afrobeat that originated from his mixed cultural background. He is determined to grow in his artistic craft as a singer-songwriter and bring joy to many across the world through his musical talent.
