Artnoise empowers digital artists to earn more with NFTs. It is always a good time to invest in crypto, and the art world has hopped on the crypto wave with NFTs.

NFT stands for a Nonrefundable token which is essentially a digital blockchain that encrypts one-of-a-kind art.

According to Wikipedia, non-fungible token (NFT) is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files. Access to any copy of the original file, however, is not restricted to the buyer of the NFT. While copies of these digital items are available for anyone to obtain, NFTs are tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with a proof of ownership that is separate from copyright.

In 2021, there has been increased interest in using NFTs with Grimes, selling around $6 million worth of digital artworks after putting them up for auction. Blockchains like Ethereum, Flow, and Tezos have their own standards when it comes to supporting NFTs, but each works to ensure that the digital item represented is authentically one-of-a-kind.

NFTs are now being used to commodify digital assets in art, music, sports, and other popular entertainment. Most NFTs are part of the Ethereum blockchain; however, other blockchains can implement their own versions of NFTs. The NFT market value tripled in 2020, reaching more than $250 million.

Simply put an NFT is a way for digital artists to earn millions off their original art. Digital art has for a long time faced the singular issue of being replicable. Art often earns its value from its uniqueness or one of kindness. Art pieces such as the Mona Lisa are able to be valued at high amounts because they are irreplicable.

However, digital art faced a singular issue which is the fact that it can easily be replicated and copied, but in 2020, NFTs changed this aspect of digital art by allowing digital artists to create one of a kind piece of digital art that could then be valued in millions in crypto and allow digital artists earn like their more-traditional creatives.

In 2020, Artnoise open call for its open program and digital program specifically called digital artists to join its residency and explore African and cultures and even participate in its free digital program. The open call saw a large number of participants, with Artnoise partnering with multiple artists and offering them free online courses and opportunities.

Artnoise has extended its program till 2023, which will offer participants free courses through its online program and opportunities to travel, create, learn, auction, exhibit, and of course market their profile and develop professionally through its Open program.
