Basketmouth credits Ghana as part of his success story; “you sold me”

Nigerian Comedian, Basketmouth has credited Ghana as part of his success story.

The Popular comedian, who has had several sold out shows in the country over the years, stated in an interview with Andy Dosty that Ghanaians have impacted his career tremendously.

“I owe you guys (Ghana) a certain level of my growth. The first big show that sold me to the world I did it in Ghana, that was when I did ‘two things involved’ that performance was what sold me,” he said in the interview.

According to Basketmouth, he has tried to say “thank you” to Ghanaians by integrating Ghana in his art.

“I have always tried to integrate my art with Ghana,” he said.

In 2021, the award-winning Comedian outdoored a comedy show named “Ghana Jollof” which tells a story of two Nigerians who moved to Ghana to seek greener pastures.

Basketmouth, who has been in the comedy industry for more than 25 years is currently in Ghana for his upcoming comedy show at the Accra Conference Center on Saturday 8th April 2023.
