Betty Garcia is her name, the African-American woman with the eye of an Eagle, who from way up above the sky, several thousand meters down, could still see diamonds. – And swoop down she did take and refine them for one purpose only: for the benefit of humanity, not to satisfy any selfish ambition.

Ms. Betty Garcia is an accomplished Illinois Licensed Realtor of African descent born and raised in Mississippi some 55 years ago and proud mother to two sons.
Ms. Garcia from the continent of her birth oceans away, on hearing about the big vision of Captin Jumbo was already so impressed. The story behind his brand and the many things they have been able to achieve in their own little way drew her attention further but the commitment towards inspiring the younger generation is what captured her heart and propelled her decision, to help establish the efforts of the foundation since she has so much passion and love for children as well.
Like all strong-willed, determined, and well-meaning colored women, in the history of African ancestry; charming, daring,  fierce,  intelligent, and very persistent,  Ms. Betty Garcia was able to influence like-minded people in her circles, collaborate with them and together as a team, have now registered the Captin Jumbo Global Kids Foundation International in the United States of America.
Aunty Betty’s (as she’s affectionately known in Ghana) love for kids and her desire to serve humanity globally made her travel to the continent of Africa for the very first time to participate in the Captin Jumbo Global Kids Foundation International launch in Ghana-West Africa.
Despite the many odds that fraught her coming,  as she now joyfully recalls, she stood firm to her conviction, and on the 29th of September 2020 at exactly 8:30 pm, she set her foot on the motherland for the first time. “It was all joy when the team led by Ghana Man and Captin Jumbo welcomed her at the Kotoka International Airport.
Since coming to Ghana, she’s had the opportunity to visit the Elmina Castle and dungeon in Cape-coast to witness for herself what her ancestors went through 400 years ago during the era of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. The experience was overwhelming and her conviction of coming to the motherland was firmly established. She’s also visited, Kakum forest reserve to experience the adventure of the canopy walk, and Techiman in the Bono Region, the Ashanti capital, to visit the Komfo Anokye sword site, the Manhyia Palace, to name a few.
The launch of the Captin Jumbo Global Kids Foundation International took place on the 3rd of October 2020 and brought together almost all the Talented Kids and Nsoroma Fame stars in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. Notable amongst them were the likes of Stonegal, Shatta berry, Nakeeyat the poet, QueenBars, Roqar Vibes, Ashley Chuks, Nelisa the Stylist, Rock Anokye, DJ Spices, Diamond Art Academy, De Bless Dance Crew,  Mr. Nelson Sellasi Abitty popularly known as Ghana Man and last but not least the brand icon himself; Captin Jumbo ‘the Man of the day’!
In his speech, he introduced the Vision and Mission of the foundation as thus “Our vision is; To witness a future in which the potentials of children are maximized and not curtailed by the actions and omissions of society and to inculcate the knowledge of a systematic universal patriotism into the younger generation”
And our Mission is: To promote the holistic development of a world child, equipped with every necessity required to thrive in a human society everywhere in the world now and in the future.
The event took place at the  Royal Seed Orphanage, at Kasoa Papasi Number 1
At the launch, as is customary, in Ghanaian Culture, the Foundation bestowed and conferred on Ms. Betty Garcia their patron and now Co-founder a befitting title and name to usher her into her current role and status in the Foundation being;  “Global Mother Of Kids” the conferees of this noble title followed it immediately with this careful admonishing to all and sundry  “… henceforth, it will be prudent on the side of all friends, family, and acquaintances to respectfully accord her with her iconic title as the ‘Global Mother of Kids’ ” amidst thunderous applause.
The ceremony was honorable, beautiful, and impactful. We certainly look forward to launching the U.S version soon. If what we saw in Ghana is anything to go by, then there’s enough indication that there’s nothing short of ‘the best’ in store for children all across the Globe with the birth of this Foundation.
The Captin Jumbo Global Kids Foundation is a multinational foundation registered in the USA and Ghana at the moment and soon set to spread its operations worldwide.
