Diddy’s Mother Speaks Out, Denies Son Is a ‘Monster’ Amid Sex Trafficking Charges

Janice Combs, mother of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, has spoken out for the first time following her son’s arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

In a statement shared on Sunday, October 6, through her lawyer, Natalie G. Figgers, Janice declared Diddy’s innocence and expressed her devastation over the allegations.

I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, Sean Combs,” she began. “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.”

The 54-year-old rapper, who was arrested on September 16, has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Despite his defense, he has been denied bail twice and remains in jail awaiting trial.

Janice refuted claims that Diddy is a “monster,” as some reports have depicted him. “My son is not the monster they have painted him to be, and he deserves the chance to tell his side,” she continued. “I can only pray that I am alive to see him speak his truth and be vindicated.”

Acknowledging that Diddy isn’t without fault, Janice stated, “I am not here to portray my son as perfect because he is not. He has made mistakes in the past, as we all have. My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise.”

Diddy, famous for hits like ‘I’ll Be Missing You,’ was indicted by a grand jury and faces three charges in connection with the alleged crimes. His legal team is expected to argue for his release at his next court appearance, scheduled for Wednesday, October 9.

As Diddy’s case unfolds, Janice remains hopeful for her son’s vindication, urging the public to allow him the opportunity to share his side of the story.
