<![CDATA[The first leg of Nigerian rap icon, eLDee’s West African Tour which is centered on the anticipated release of his 5th Studio album, “Undeniable” seemed troubled in the eyes of most Ghanaians who thought it came at short notice and perhaps at a high fee. This perhaps reflected in the low turnout at The Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, Saturday night. The late start of the show didn’t improve the fortunes of the concert either but after it finally took off, it was a good and enjoyable show with some of Ghana’s top acts joining their Nigerian counterparts to thrill the crowd. The performances kicked off with Trybe Records artists, K9 and Soul J followed by Ghana’s most celebrated rapper of the moment, Sarkodie. Nigerian sensation, Sheyman then took to the stage with some exciting dance moves and energy to engage the crowd. The performances continued with Dr Sid who ended his appearance with a collaboration with the man of the moment, eLDee. eLDee continued with a string of his hits, supported by his Trybe Records labelmate, and ended with some new singles from his anticipated ‘Undeniable’ album. Tiffany, Wizkid and R2bees then hit the stage to perform back to back. Throughout the concert the ubiquitous azonto dance was very heavily felt and regardless of whether the performer was from Ghana or Nigeria he/she busted some azonto moves.
