Elimes Outfit Tells the Story Of Love, Family & Oneness in her New Collection, ‘Nouvelle Vague’ (New Wave)

Meet Mr Elijah Badmus the Creative Director for Elimes Outfit.  Mr Elijah what really inspired the Nouvelle Vague Collection?

A number of things have inspired me to put this together however, I’ll say that the unique Covid era as well as my experiences in life epitomizes my inspiration on Nouvelle Vague Collection.

I believe the Covid period brought its repercussions; businesses were shutdown, travellers were stranded in foreign countries, ceremonies were cancelled, families were apart and the world was at a standstill BUT the unique season also taught all of us what true luxury is; Love and Family.

These virtues are often neglected when we are obsessed with the busy-ness of life.

Prior to Covid, we were all entangled with our respective jobs and other  engagements. The sudden Stand Still of our everyday life routine was a shock on us all.

At that point I realized the pandemic was suggesting that a ‘New Wave’ of human co-existence was needed and men should not live like machines.

Ever since then, I have learnt to value family; love, communication, attention, care and investment of time in creating memories with loved ones.

It was a New Wave of life that brings purpose to Life.
