HipHopWorldMagazine.com reports that fifteen years after Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s death, the Kuti family discovered another child of the Late Afrobeat legend in 2012. The report says:
An insider told us the man’s name is Courtney and born by a white woman in Sydney, Australia, adding that Courtney is a little older than Fela’s youngest son Seun Kuti, who is 30 years old.
We’re told that the news of the discovery is hush-hush and only known to key members of the Kuti family.
According to Fela’s Wikipedia, only seven offspring are listed as his children – the list parades names like; Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Motunrayo Anikulapo Kuti, Yeni Kuti, Kunle Anikulapo Kuti, Omosalewa Anikulapo Kuti, Sola Kuti, it is however believed that Fela’s children are way more than that.
Abami Eda, as Fela Kuti dubbed himself, was born in Abeokuta on October 15, 1938 and died on August 2, 1997 with chunk of hit songs and albums to his credit, including; Expensive Shit (1975), Zombie (1977), Sorrow, Tears, and Blood (1977), Shuffering and Shmiling (1978), Black President (1981), Original Sufferhead (1981), Army Arrangement (1985), Beasts of No Nation (1986) others.
