In its fourth season, The Sharks Quiz has been a big platform for competing schools to prove themselves in academia and add relevance to their names. Each year, new institutions register for this opportunity and this year has been no exception.

The junior level of the show saw new contender Kay-Billie-Klaer International Schools grace the preliminary stage to battle out for spots in the main event. The stage was set for the two institutions, both of which hold bragging rights in their various communities, to determine whose rights would still be relevant out of their comfort zones.

In the kick-off round of the contest, Ghana Christian International High amassed a smothering 70 points against Kay-Billie-Klaer’s 40. It was a round of joy but considering the subsequent rounds, they rather suppressed their first-round excitement for victory at last. On consecutive account, they played 20 points ahead of their counterparts’ 15 serving themselves and supporters another joyous moment.

The continuing round however, was a hump for the leading school as Kay-Billie-Klaer debunked their slumbering by scoring 30 against Ghana Christian’s 20 points. Then the deciding round came. Both schools were at each other’s heels, defending and attacking to knockout the other.

Eventually, there was victory at last for Ghana Christian International High. They had smitten the first timers by an overall 160 to 105 win. They came in as #JuniorSharks defending champions and have proven themselves worthy of last season’s trophy. Now is a period of impatient anticipation as we wait to see how they fight their way to defend the 3JuniorSharks trophy once again.

This year’s edition of the Sharks Quiz (#Sharks4) is sponsored by Kellogg’s Ghana and Indomie; Ashesi University, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Family Health Medical School, Academic City College (Academic Sponsors); eCampus Ghana, Shell Ghana, Givers Clean Care, Fanmilk Ghana, Fortune rice and Frytol (Associate Sponsors).
