With the reverberations of Nigeria’s failure to qualify for African Cup of Nations 2012 still being felt across the country, the Super Eagles have a chance to restore calm in the country as early as Tuesday when they face off with archrivals Ghana in the age-old West African derby to be broadcast live on SuperSport on DStv.

Still reeling from the shock of Ibrahim Diallo’s last gasp equaliser which ensured Nigeria’s absence from next year’s African football fiesta, the Super Eagles will be looking for a morale booster against an old adversary in what is surely going to be a highly-charged derby.

Nigeria, along with Egypt, Cameroon, South Africa, Tunisia and Algeria, were the high profile casualties in the journey to Gabon – Equatorial Guinea 2012, a tournament that the Black Stars are now odds-on favourites to win.

The Ghana vs. Nigeria match will be broadcast live on SS9, SS7, SS7N, Select (from 8.30pm CAT)
