Ghana’s Smully Wear debuts spring collection, ‘Good Vibes’ at Omaha Fashion Week in Nebreska

Ghanaian fashion brand Smully Wear has debuted its latest collection  new collection at the Omaha Fashion Week in Nebreska, USA.

The Spring collection, dubbed ‘Good Vibes has an amazing wide range of clothes which entail corporate wears , suits, urban wear , stage performance red carpets outfits, caftans, 3-piece agbada, political suits, African print shirts, shorts, unisex print pants, formal wears, office dress, casual wears, wedding and traditional wedding outfits.

The main aim of Smully Wear, owned by Joseph Aggrey Cobbinah, is to take Ghanaian fashion to a new level and  build international clout.

“It is a privilege and honor to be on this platform in United States of America after running the fashion week for 15 good years Smully Wear happens to be the first Ghanaian fashion Brand and Designer  to be on that platform We were able to tell the world our fashion story during the fashion week after the events the feedbacks and compliments were so amazing our audience were astonished by our works ,” Joseph Aggrey Cobbinah on how Omaha fashion week has impacted Smully Wear.

“It is really a big deal for us and the entire country we have broken a chain and history has be made hence paving way for other Ghanaian fashion brand to get the opportunity to be on that platform and also push more made in Ghana products to the world, “ he adds. 

Smully Wear is a bespoke Ghanaian fashion brand founded in 2014. Smully’s creative works have earned him lots of recognition including the honour of styling some showbiz icons such as Jidenna, Boris Kodjoe, Stonebwoy among others. In 2017, he won the fashion designer of the year at the Ghana Tertiary Award for his maiden collection named “Jack Where are You”

Joseph Aggrey Cobbinah is positive the latest Good Vibes collection will equally give good fashion vibes to patrons. He comments: “Connecting the world through fashion so everyone should just anticipate and be on look for amazing designs and craftsmanship from us featuring for all seasons, fall , spring and summer!”

Omaha Fashion Week’s Spring 2023 season of fashion and nostalgia ended with a lively show with featured designers. Featured Designers are experts at their craft who will showcase high-quality, ready-to-buy looks on the runway. They are inspired by themes of luxury, upcycling, and honoring cultural heritage.

Omaha Fashion Week celebrates 15 years of runway showcases during the De Ponte Spring 2023 season. De Ponte is Latin for “from the bridge” in honor of Omaha Fashion Week’s start under the Jones Street bridge to glamorous celebrations at the Omaha Design Center, and everything in between. The atmosphere of the night reflected the streets of Omaha and rave culture in the 1990’s. Wild posted walls were the perfect backdrop for new memories as guests posed and snapped shots.
