GOtv launches in Ghana with amazing introductory offer!

<![CDATA[GOtv Ghana Limited, a sister company of MulticChoice Ghana Limited on Thursday launched a new and affordable digital television service called GOtv. GOtv uses the latest generation Digital Video Broadcast standard and will be the first operator in Ghana to launch a DVB-T2 digital pay TV service. GOtv Ghana Director, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills said, DVB-T2 technology is the most advanced Digital Terrestrial Television technology worldwide. GOtv utilizes the DVB-T2 technology standard, which allows for no less than 21 channels per frequency, this is different from DVB-T1 technology, which only allows for 12 channels per frequency. Kingsley Afful, GOtv Business Manager speaking at the launch said “GOtv service was specially created to make available an affordable digital television product for all.” He added that, “When people think of digital television they immediately imagine it has to be expensive, this is not the case with GOtv, which offers great family entertainment at affordable prices. Ghanaians are now set to benefit from easy access to an increased number of digital channels, with enhanced picture and sound quality synonymous with digital television.” With over 30 channels and two bouquets, GOtv offers quality local and intentional entertainment, news, lifestyles and more via channels such as Africa Magic, Africa Magic Movies, Blackbelt TV, Disney Junior, CNN, SuperSport Blitz, Select Sports, Discovery World, NatGeo Wild, Vox Africa, E!Entertainment, BET, E Africa and Channel O.  The special AFCON offer goes for Ghc153 including a decoder plus 3 months of GOtv Plus viewing. Kingsley Afful, GOtv Business Manager explained:“One of our goals is to ensure that our subscribers are part of the most prestigious soccer extravaganza on the continent and we have fulfilled all necessary requirements to ensure that when the AFCON competition kicks off on January 19, 2013, GOtv subscribers will not be left out of the action!” Meanwhile, during the launch at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra, Hiplife duo Praye and the bubbly actress Nana Ama McBrown were outdoored as brand ambassadors for GOtv in Ghana. The celebrities, according to GOtv, will help consolidate efforts of the company to help push the new digital terrestrial television service to Ghanaians. Praye, made up of Eugene Baah and Steven Fiawoo have composed a promotional theme song for the television service in Ghana. ]]>
