Ghana’s veteran highlife artist Rex Omar has disclosed in an interview that he no longer attends church because he doesn’t want to be a “hypocrite and a sinner”.

“I stopped going to church in 1997, I don’t want to be a hypocrite” -Rex Omar

According to the ‘Dada Di Da’ hitmaker, he was an active member of Assemblies of God church but he stopped going to church since 1997.

“I believe if I had continued to go to Church I would have been a hypocrite, a bad person and a sinner.

Most people pretend to be good Christians but you later find out that you are even far better than them and this takes away your direct relationship with God”, he stated.

He also stated that his body is the temple of God and that he has a direct relationship with God.

According to veteran musician, they are so many unanswered questions about the bible and that people especially men of God are silent about it.

“A lot of people attend church because everyone is going to church. They are worshipping God they don’t know. The church also makes you narrow-minded in your thinking. Christians are brainwashed, you think this way and don’t ask questions. God is too big in me to be limited”, he added.
