I’m One Of The Kings In Ghana Not Just The ‘King Of The North’ – Fancy Gadam

Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known in the music circles as Fancy Gadam, has expressed his discomfort with being labeled as the ‘King of the North.’

The renowned artist/songwriter who is well known for his vibrant contributions to the Afrobeats and hip-life genres as well as his unique blend of Afrobeats and traditional Ghanaian music voiced his preference for a more subtle recognition of his artistry.

According to the ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker, he gets agitated when people refer to him as the ‘King Of The North.’ Fancy believes he used to be the “King of the North,” however, he believes he has done extremely well over the years, stressing that he prefers to be labeled as the ‘King of Ghana’ when it comes to music.

Fancy, made this known during a recent one-on-one interview on Mx24 TV when he was asked if he felt agitated when people refer to him as the “King of the North.”

‘Don’t box me, I don’t like it when people call me.  Infact I dont like it anymore because I don’t want to stay in the North. We are all Ghanaians and doing our best for the country through our music. I am one of the kings in Ghana.

”The people you refer to as Kings at the end of day, cannot even do what I can do. We’re all kings, we all deserve that respect,” he added.
