Highlife singer and song writer, Bisa Kdei has lamented how Ghanaians have downplayed their indigenous music Highlife whiles they have embraced  other genre of music which are foreign in nature.

To him, though Highlife will never die but said the attitude of Ghanaians towards the genre has made it difficult for those in the industry.

But speaking on Sika FM in Kumasi in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Bisa Kdei said: “It is true, Highlife is difficult. It’s just as I speak with you. It about you telling a story, therefore it is even difficult for people to listen to all that you say in a track. It sometimes looks like forcing people listen to my story. Meanwhile, people are busy doing their own things hence to get people to listen to Highlife is difficult. But when you are accepted, that is the best thing”. He told Buju Banton host of the show “Flavour Zone”.

But the “Mansa” hit maker, on the other hand, counselled that ‘in whatever you do, you have to do it well for people to appreciate and that will take you to places”.
