Ghanaian rapper Joey B has asked social media users and music lovers to desist from mocking any artiste when they fail to win an award in the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
In recent years, many artistes have been heavily mocked on social media for their failure to win an award. Patapaa, Medikal and Pappy Kojo are on the list of musicians who have suffered social media mockery.
Taking to his Twitter page, the “Stables” hitmaker wrote: “ahuh i wanted to say this and go back to walking my dog. please please, this year if your favourite artiste(s) doesnt win an award, do not mock/laugh at them. its super unnecessary. lets build & encourage ourselves. ??”
Joey B’s ‘Stables’ has been nominated for the best video of the year and best hip hop song of the year at the Upcoming 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Award.
