Lawd have mercy! Meet the South African who says she’s the biological mother of Beyonce

Beyonce was trending when news of her upcoming album video, ‘Lemonade’ hit the web. Meanwhile somewhere in Durban, South Africa, a video with a woman claiming to be the biological mother of  Beyonce’s also went viral. 

The video posted shows the woman whose name is withheld, talking about how she wants Beyonce to contact her and come home to meet her other siblings and know her ancestor. She added that she is not interested in the singer’s money but that she just wants her to know her real family.

Narrating how Beyonce turned out to be her biological daughter, the Durban woman, explains that she gave Beyonce  up to  an American couple who visited Durban and lived in  a hotel where she used to work after Beyonce’s birth in 1984.

She noted that her rational behind her decision was to keep Beyonce safe and away from apartheid and political unrest in Durban.  According her, the name she gave Beyonce at birth was Busisiwe and that the American couple gave her the name Beyonce but the first time she set eyes on her was on TV.

Explaining  her efforts at looking for Beyonce all these past years, the Durban woman in her interview noted that she wrote to Khumbul’ekhaya to help her get to America to look for her daughter, but she was told America is too far, hence they could not help her get there.

 “The ancestors are not happy; they want her to know her real surname. We must make her Islphandlaa and introduce her to her ancestors,” she reiterated.

The woman warned that Beyonce might experience problems in her marriage in the near future if she does come home to be introduced to her ancestor and change her name formally with a traditional ceremony. The self-acclaimed mother also wants Beyonce to come to Durban with her husband Jay Z to get married the traditional way.

The crying Durban woman described Beyonce’s childhood as a free spirited child at birth who loved to do the Zulu dance and sing. Beyonce with her husband to Durban to get married the traditional way. She expressed the hope that should Beyonce see the video, she should remember she is loved by her biological mother who supports her career.
