“My Testimony,” a new single written and recorded by new Gospel artiste, Yaw Adu-Ampomah.
The debut project by the Gospel newbie speaks of God’s providential blessings and the testimonies there of.
“My new single, which happens to be my first ever music project, is inspired by my life as dictated by the Grace of God and its attendant blessings,” he said. As the song’s title suggests, “My Testimony” is Yaw Adu-Ampomah’s express gratitude to God and hopes that many Christians would identify with his music by recognizing God’s infinite Grace and blessings. “Often times, we take for granted the things God establishes with us and for us. Many of these things we often consider regular and much as some things are our birthright as children of God, that status is not earned except by Grace,” he added.
Music has always been a part of the 25-year-old Engineer’s upbringing; growing up in a family of talented singers. Yaw Adu-Ampomah is however the first of his folks to share his music beyond the corridors of Church and School – two institutions that has helped horn his interest and skills in song writing and singing.
At Prempeh College and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology where he had his secondary and tertiary education respectively, Adu-Ampomah was a member of various music groups including KNUST’s Inter-Hall Christian Fellowship’s (IHCF) Gospel Explosion in 2012 where he rose through the ranks as a Front liner and later on as a Part leader. For 2 years, he served as the Praise & Worship Head for IHCF and is currently a lead Vocalist and a Tenor Part leader for Christ’s Bloodline Crew (CBC) Inc.; a Gospel music group in Kumasi.
The musician counts Pastor Samuel Obeng Poku and Nathaniel Bassey among his influencers and believes his music and ministry would in turn impact positively on his generation and beyond.
